Jody Drulard (Chair) is a seasoned financial technology executive with more than three decades of experience in investment banking, financial services, and global business operations. He joined Dealogic in 1994 and played a key leadership role in shaping the company’s global investment banking platform, overseeing product strategy, design, marketing, operations, content, and consultative services where he led as CEO over many years. Jody brings Blue Scholars Initiative valuable expertise in strategic planning, organizational leadership, technology, product development, and building scalable systems and processes. His experience leading global teams and navigating complex business environments strengthens BSI’s capacity for sustainable growth and organizational development. Prior to Dealogic, Jody held positions with Chemical Bank. He holds a BBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University and studied at L’Université de Lausanne.

Doug Brown (President/Treasurer) is an entrepreneur and business executive with more than two decades of experience investing in, acquiring, and growing consumer-focused companies. He currently serves as CEO of Sanvall Enterprises, a health and wellness company whose products are sold through major national retailers, and as COO of The Cromer Company, a century-old apparel and resortwear business. Doug is also a founder of Strategic Capital, an investment vehicle focused on growth opportunities. As Co-Founder of Blue Scholars Initiative, he combines his business experience with a commitment to expanding hands-on marine science education and inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards.

Alan Brown (Vice President) is an accomplished entrepreneur and business leader with more than two decades of experience building and growing successful consumer-focused companies. He currently serves as CEO and President of The Cromer Company and is Founder and CEO of Root Sportswear, overseeing innovative, officially licensed college sports merchandise and apparel. Alan brings extensive expertise in business development, branding, technology, operations, and relationship building. He has served on several community and nonprofit boards and holds a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University and a master’s degree in Sports Marketing from St. Thomas University.

Alejandro Brito (Secretary) is the founding partner of Brito PLLC and a leading commercial litigator in South Florida. His practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, franchise litigation, trade secret matters, and high-stakes defamation litigation in federal courts nationwide. Alejandro has represented clients in federal courts across the country and before multiple U.S. Courts of Appeals, and has achieved significant results in complex litigation, including a $15 million settlement against ABC News. His legal expertise and strategic counsel bring valuable perspective to the leadership and governance of Blue Scholars Initiative.
